Company Contract Purchase is an alternative car leasing finance option to contract hire and is for company and business owners. It is a method which at the end of the contract, you will have a choice of returning the car with no cost to you, or purchase the car for a previously agreed amount.

The advantages for having a company contract purchase agreement are: delivery and collection are free; road tax is supplied for the duration of the contract; the monthly payments are fixed, and (once purchased) resale profits are retained by the business. Businesses can also reclaim at least 50% of the VAT and at least 50% of the overall cost of the contract hire vehicle against your tax commitments in most cases. With this type of agreement there is also the choice of taking out a contract to include full maintenance that includes full services, replacement tyres, repairs, etc.

How does it Work?

The usual procedure with a Company Contract Purchase is to pay a deposit (usually three months’), followed by an agreed monthly sum normally starting at month two for the duration of the contract, typically over two, three, four or five years. Although a higher deposit can be made to either bring the monthly payments lower or to lower the agreed end purchase price. At the end of the contract, the car is handed back to the finance company with no additional costs to pay, and with a fresh agreement organised.
